Mexic-Arte Museum’s current exhibition, Selections from the Contemporary Art Collection, is a milestone exhibition that reveals some of the best artwork collected over the past thirty years. The exhibition has been well received by the public and we are extending the exhibition through May.

November 2014

The fall is always a busy season for Mexic-Arte Museum. Miradas: Ancient Roots in Modern and Contemporary Mexican Art from the Bank of America Collection and Community Altars just finished a three-month run. The exhibitions brought in an increased number of people to the Museum. 

August 2014

The fall season is coming with much excitement! Miradas: Ancient Roots in Modern and Contemporary Mexican Art from the Bank of America Collection opens to the public on September 19, 2014. Miradas includes artwork from the past 80 years, created by artists from the US and Latin America.

Sylvia Orozco attended the XXIII Reunion of the Consejo Consultivo del Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (Advisory Council of Institute of the Mexicans Abroad) June 25–28, 2014 at the Fiesta Americana Hacienda Galindo in San Juan del Rio, Queretaro.

Our organization has been busy developing a space-needs and building program to construct the new Mexic-Arte Museum building, which will be located on the site of the existing Museum.  We are currently working with M. Goodwin Museum Planning on a study supported by a generous grant from EDA, the Economic Development Administration.
