Crisa Valadez is an artist, writer, and curator based in San Antonio, TX. She currently works for the City of San Antonio Arts & Culture Department and is extremely passionate about art and nonprofit work, having worked and volunteered with several local organizations such as the Texas Public Radio, the McNay Art Museum, Centro San Antonio, Gemini Ink, and more from a young age.
During the summer of 2024, the Mexic-Arte Museum in partnership with Austin Central Library will offer the camp:Â Nuestro Estilo/Our Style. Led by Andrea Calderon, campers will explore Mexican identity through traditional garments.
Come learn about the history of the Changarrito art cart residency with a conversation between its founder, Máximo González, early administrators Iván Buenader and Leslie Moody Castro, its first Mexic-Arte Museum Curator Dr. Claudia Zapata, and current Mexic-Arte and Changarrito Curator, Isabel Servantez, moderating the conversation.
