Unlike festivities in Mexico, diverse communities in the United States have embraced Cinco de Mayo as a day to celebrate Mexican heritage and culture. For nine years from 2000 to 2008, Mexic-Arte Museum has organized the Taste of Mexico Culinary Arts Festival. 

Mexic-Arte Museum was recognized as the Austin Energy Capital of Texas Non-Profit Award Finalist by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber on March 5, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel. 

Mexic-Arte Museum’s current exhibition, Selections from the Contemporary Art Collection, is a milestone exhibition that reveals some of the best artwork collected over the past thirty years. The exhibition has been well received by the public and we are extending the exhibition through May.

Take a look at Mexic-Arte Museum’s fourteen greatest moments of 2014! I would like to acknowledge and thank the Museum staff, Board of Directors, artists, and volunteers for a productive year.
