As part of Casa México SXSW, and in collaboration with the Consul General of Mexico, Mexic-Arte Musem hosted Mexican artist Cix Mugre.
I like to flow with the mural and work according to the conditions of the mural. Whether, it will rain, the weather, the people who are helping me, the colors we have on hand. I like for my subconscious to approve what I’m doing and guide me. To step away from the mural and observe how it’s going, and in that moment, decide what I will keep doing.– Cix Mugre
About the Artist
Cix Mugre is known for his use of vibrant colors to depict elaborate indigenous iconogrophy and has worked on murals across the globe including France, El Salvador, Egypt, Peru, Brazil, England, Colombia, Belgium, Guatemala, and his native Mexico.
