About the Artist

He is an Austin based graphic designer, screen printer, and local business owner (Ramona Press). Originally from Miami, Indiana, Tony has a BFA from Indiana Wesleyan University, with focuses in graphic design and printmaking. Tony’s creative style is largely reflective of his upbringing in rural, small town, Indiana. He creates conceptual but minimalistic designs, largely relying on simple shapes, lines, and naturally occurring textures. He considers screen printing an art as well as a craft, and considers different techniques from project to project. Tony views screen printing as not just a way to get a design down in physical form, but its an extension of the design and an integral part of a piece as a whole..

Changarrito Cart May 9-10 & 16-17

Artists have the opportunity to sell their art on the Changarrito cart in front of the Museum (or an offsite location, as representative for the Museum during various Austin festivals). Changarreando expands the reach of the artist by presenting their gallery online, while allowing the option to sell merch over Instagram and receive 100% of the sale.

Tony Perez featured his artwork on the Changarrito cart outside the Museum’s entrance on May 9-10 & 16-17, 2015.
