About the Artist

Stephanie Sandoval’s work expresses her identity as both a third-generation Mexican American and as a young woman inspired by radical Latinas. Her art applies modern-day visual culture to re-imagine Latinas and their characteristics in a contemporary, and sometimes satirical fashion.

Artists have the opportunity to sell their art on the Changarrito cart in front of the Museum (or an offsite location, as representative for the Museum during various Austin festivals). Changarreando expands the reach of the artist by presenting their gallery online, while allowing the option to sell merch over Instagram and receive 100% of the sale.

In conjunction with the East Austin Studio Tour, Stephanie Sandoval will be on hand on November 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th from 12-4pm as part of the Changarrito Artist in Residency Program. Stop by and meet the artist who will be featured at Canopy, 916 Springdale Rd.

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates on original work available for purchase and behind the scenes of the artist’s work, space, and creative process.
