The annual Catrina Dinner is October 15, 2023 at 5:30 pm. This year’s event returns to Fonda San Miguel to commemorate 39 years of acclaimed exhibitions, education programs, and cultural events.
The 2020 Catrina Gala will be held virtually on November 1. Proceeds from the Gala benefit our award winning education programs in underserved schools and Museum operations, both in dire need of funding due to the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis.

The 4th Annual Catrina Gala is October 13, 2018. This year’s event took place at the Fairmont Austin’s Ballroom and explored Mexico’s indigenous roots by paying tribute to Mayan creation myth of the Hero Twins.
The 3rd annual Catrina Gala is October 21, 2017 from 5:30 – 9pm. The Catrina Gala is a spirited annual fundraising event that reminisces the past and recognizes Mexic-Arte Museum’s present accomplishments in visual art and culture. This year pays tribute to the 110th anniversary of Friday Kahlo’s birth.
