About Taste of Mexico 2019

Taste of Mexico
collects the most inspired executions of Mexican cuisine from over 35 central Texas restaurants, food trucks, and vendors alongside a diverse bar of fine tequilas, mezcales, wines, beers, and other refreshing beverages. This year’s annual event will feature a variety of interactive activities and demonstrations as we explore the influence of Puebla in Mexican cuisine.

Proceeds from Taste of Mexico benefit Mexic-Arte Museum’s art education programs including the nationally recognized Screen it Progam, which introduces youth to basic screen printing techniques and careers in the art field. Screen it! received the 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program, a project of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities presented by Honorary Chairman, First Lady Michelle Obama.

About Mexic-Arte Museum

Mexic-Arte Museum is dedicated to cultural enrichment and education through the collection, preservation and presentation of traditional and contemporary Mexican, Latino, and Latin American art and culture to promote dialogue and develop understanding for visitors of all ages. Since 1984, the Museum has produced and presented exceptional cultural programming and nationally recognized educational programs for communities in Texas. Mexic-Arte Museum is one of the first museums in the United States to present Mexican and Mexican American art. Recognizing the Museum’s uniqueness and significant cultural role, on 2003, the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas designated Mexic-Arte Museum as the “Official Mexican and Mexican American Art Museum of Texas.”
