Austin Museum Day – with Gabo Martini – Seed clay balls
The artist will be bringing clay and cempaxochitl seeds, which are the Mexican marigold that have traditionally been used for Dia de Los Muertos ceremonies for ages. With these materials and a few wooden tools, guests will be invited to either make simple balls of clay with seeds in them, or they could even sculpt a small palm-sized figurine or creature.
