Amarte

amArte is Mexic-Arte Museum’s new education outreach program funded by Austin Public Health’s Office of Violence Prevention. amArte coordinates with local master artists to plan and execute unique workshops at high schools in the east Austin area.

El mero Muro: Murals In Schools

El Mero Muro: Murals in Schools is an extension of Mexic-Arte Museum’s seven-year-old
The mural program is located on the exterior wall of the building on 5th St. and Congress Avenue. Conveying powerful messages of relevant social issues, the outdoor murals of the Museum are in a unique and highly visible area of downtown Austin.

Screen It!

Mexic-Arte Museum’s Screen It! program connects students to the Austin art community, guiding them in the development of their art skills as a tool of expression and as valuable entrepreneurial skills.

Internships

Located in the heart of downtown Austin, Mexic-Arte Museum seeks university students to participate in internships for academic credit and educational enrichment. Interns will apply their creativity and critical thinking skills to various projects under the mentorship of Mexic-Arte Museum professionals.

These resources are available to you thanks to The Institute of Museum and Library Services, sponsors for our project “Inspiring the Community through ScreenIt!”
