An exhibition displaying various forms of printmaking\, including a print portfolio Tejanos: The Border Crossed Us\, prints from the Mexico City-based workshop Taller 75 Grados\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFeatured Artists\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n The exhibit will include a print portfolios Tejanos: The Border Crossed Us\, the Consejo Grafico Nacional’s portfolio Creando Fuerza: Cambio y Permanencia; also on display will be prints from various groups such as the Mexico City-based workshop Taller 75 Grados\, prints from the Mercadorama collective\, works from Associación de Grabadores\, others; and\, works collected at various fairs including BinFest by PrintAustin\, Flatstock from SXSW\, and more.

DESCRIPTION:About \n\n\n\nTotally Cool\, Totally Art (TCTA) is a city program which offers community-based arts education for Austin teens in grades 7 to 12. Mexic-Arte Museum’s ongoing partnership with the City of Austin provides a formal gallery space for the display of artwork created by teens in TCTA after-school workshops. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition runs until March 1\, 2020. Please note that this is not an opening reception\, but it is the day when the exhibition opens to the public.

SUMMARY:Domingos Gratis en Familia & Family Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Our next Family Day Workshop will take place on Sunday\, March 1st from 12-4pm and it’ll be all about our current exhibit Unseen Prints from the Mexic-Arte Museum Collection\, which closes on March 10th! \n\n\n\nCome screen print or learn how to make a zine. Free Admission as part of our H-E-B funded Domingos Gratis en Familia grant! \n\n\n\nABOUT THE PROGRAM:\n\n\n\nDomingos Gratis en Familia is a program series held every Sunday at Mexic-Arte Museum sponsored by HEB. Admission is waived for guests of all ages from open to close (12-5pm) and there are two tours of the exhibits (2pm in English; 3pm in Spanish by request). Family Day Workshops are held bimonthly on the 1st Sunday of the month when exhibits are up on Domingos Gratis en Familia. Exhibiting and/or local artists are invited by the museum to lead make-and-take activities inspired by art in the exhibits. These drop-in\, informal workshops are for guests of all ages and abilities and free to attend from 12-4pm.
